Aena has launched a third public auction for two aircraft declared legally abandoned at the former Murcia-San Javier airport, which has been closed to commercial passenger traffic since 14 January 2019.
The tender was published in the Official State Gazette on Friday. Despite a combined technical valuation of more than 45,000 euros, the lot has been listed with a starting price of zero euros. After two unsuccessful attempts to sell the planes, bidders are not required to lodge a deposit.
The aircraft include a Cessna F172M Skyhawk, initially valued at 6,051.60 euros, and a Piper PA-31 Navajo, with a technical valuation of 39,009.08 euros.
Both planes are subject to a legal presumption of abandonment, an administrative procedure typically applied when owners fail to pay airport fees and do not reclaim their aircraft for several years.
