Orange warning as Storm Harry batters the Gulf of Valencia

Spain’s State Meteorological Agency, Aemet, has issued an orange warning for the Gulf of Valencia as Storm Harry brings dangerous maritime conditions. The alert covers the coasts of Valencia and Castellón, northern Alicante and Ibiza, with waves expected to exceed four metres during the day on Tuesday. Man arrested after cocaine found in car at Cartagena checkpoint

Spanish National Police have arrested a man on suspicion of drug trafficking and offences against road safety after stopping his car at a routine vehicle checkpoint in the Lo Campano district of Cartagena. Rojales building evacuated after beam collapse during renovation

A four-storey residential building in the centre of Rojales has been evacuated after part of its structure collapsed during renovation work. The incident happened at around twelve thirty on Monday, while contractors were carrying out the early stages of a rehabilitation project commissioned by the residents’ association.
