A new parking regulation has come into force on Ramón Gallud Street in central Torrevieja. The measure applies from Tuesday 15 September and limits parking to two hours on weekdays between 8am and 8pm.
Outside the regulated hours, from 8pm to 8am, drivers can park without a time limit. The restriction also does not apply on non-working days.
Federico Alarcón, the city council’s councillor for the Local Police, said the change aims to improve vehicle turnover during the busiest hours. This should allow more people to find spaces while shopping, carrying out errands or using services in the town centre.
The council has installed new signs showing the parking hours and conditions. Drivers have been asked to check the signs carefully and respect the two-hour limit during the regulated period.
