A man has been left with injuries to his head and neck after a double knife attack on the terrace of a bar in the Puerto de Mazarrón. The incident occurred in the early hours of 5 January, during a warm late-summer night when the venue was busy with people enjoying drinks outdoors.

According to translated reports, security cameras captured the assault. Footage shows an attacker stabbing the victim from behind before attempting a second blow, which the victim avoided by standing up. A second assailant then stabbed the man during the brief confrontation.

The terrace was full at the time, with groups sitting in armchairs and sofas as conversations carried on around them. Witnesses said nothing appeared out of the ordinary until the sudden violence unfolded in a matter of seconds.

The Guardia Civil in Mazarrón is now investigating the case. Officers are examining the video recordings as they work to identify the individuals involved and establish the motive behind the attack.
