Alicante–Elche Miguel Hernández Airport and Valencia Airport have exceeded their total passenger numbers for 2024 with one month remaining in the year. Alicante has handled 18,631,566 passengers between January and November, while Valencia has recorded 10,954,107. These figures represent year‑on‑year increases of 8.5% and 9.4% respectively, according to data released by Aena.

Aircraft movements have also risen. Alicante recorded 116,924 flights in the first eleven months of the year, up 8.4% on the same period in 2024. Valencia managed 85,986 flights, a 6.3% increase. Aena says November was another record‑breaking month for both airports.

In Alicante, November passenger traffic reached 1,411,496, driven largely by international travellers, who rose 13.6% to 1.23 million. The domestic market fell by 7.5%. The UK remained the largest international market, followed by the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Poland.

Valencia also saw strong November growth, with passenger numbers up 25.4% to 870,956. Aena notes that the comparison is influenced by weather‑related disruption in November 2024. International traffic increased 32.2% to 647,040 passengers, with Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, France and the UK the most significant markets.
