Torrevieja’s municipal water company AGAMED has approved its Infrastructure Plan for 2026, confirming a total investment of 4,937,471 euros. The plan focuses on improving the stormwater, potable water, and wastewater networks to ensure the system meets the current needs of the growing population. The announcement was made following a board meeting chaired by mayor Eduardo Dolón.

Stormwater projects will receive the largest share, with 1,776,247 euros allocated to enhancing rainwater evacuation. Key works include Phase III of the Torreta Florida floodable park, budgeted at 624,000 euros, and Phase II of the Cortes Valencianas park, estimated at 472,000 euros.

AGAMED will also invest 512,537 euros in the potable water network, targeting sections with the greatest deterioration. This includes drafting the construction project for a new 10,000 m³ water storage tank at Alto de la Casilla, known as La Hoya II, with a budget of 120,000 euros.

A further 1,949,495 euros will come from the Renewal Fund, supporting sewer upgrades, arterial water network improvements in the Lago Jardín–Los Balcones–Autopista area, and the replacement of a sludge silo at the wastewater treatment plant, co‑financed with EPSAR. The wastewater and sewer network will receive an additional 595,520 euros to improve capacity and modernise ageing infrastructure.
