Emergency services have reported that a fifty-nine-year-old man was seriously injured in a collision at the Cabezo Beaza industrial estate in Cartagena. The crash occurred on Wednesday at the junction of DublÃn Street and Belgrado Street, involving two vehicles. Calls reached the emergency line 112 at 12:43, with witnesses reporting that one of the occupants was trapped inside a car.
Local Police officers, firefighters from Cartagena’s fire and rescue service, and a Mobile Emergency Unit were sent to the scene. Firefighters worked to free the man from the wreckage before handing him over to paramedics from the regional emergency service 061.
After receiving initial treatment at the scene, the man was taken by ambulance to Santa LucÃa Hospital. Health officials say he sustained serious injuries.
Authorities have not yet released further details about the cause of the collision, and the incident remains under investigation.
