The fifth edition of Croqueteando, a culinary competition held in Torrevieja, has highlighted the creativity and flavour of local gastronomy. The event culminated in the ‘Croquetas al gusto’ awards, organized by the Torrevieja and Comarca Hospitality Business Association. The award ceremony took place at the CdT, featuring participation from numerous local establishments competing for culinary glory.

Rosario Martínez Chazarra, the local councillor for Hospitality and Tourism, emphasised the quality and originality of the croquettes presented during the competitions. She praised the local hoteliers for their high culinary standards, showcasing the rich role of gastronomy in the region’s culture.

The winner of the first prize, which included a monetary award of one thousand euros and a product package, was Restaurante La Mar de Bien with their innovative chicken croquette. Claudio Restaurante Pizzería secured the second prize, while Chiringuito La Mar de Bien took home the third prize with their creative offerings.

The event’s sponsor, Comercial Roldán Netya, supplied professional cleaning product packages to the winners, further supporting the local hospitality sector. The AEHTC expressed gratitude for the participation and commitment to promoting Torrevieja’s gastronomic talent.
