On Wednesday, fifteen May twenty twenty-five, the Official Environmental Agents of the Murcia Region successfully rescued two wild boar piglets trapped in the Tajo-Segura transfer channel, near the municipality of Ojós. The brave action unfolded after the agents received reports that the piglets were at risk of drowning in the water.

Videos shared on their social media account showed the helpless animals running along the channel’s banks, completely disoriented and unable to escape. After locating the piglets, the agents sprang into action, using a net to safely capture them before they could fall into the water.

This rescue is not an isolated incident, as wild boars have been frequently found trapped in similar areas across the Murcia Region. Officers have received numerous calls regarding animals that have fallen into the channels, highlighting the ongoing concern for wildlife safety.

Fortunately, in this instance, the piglets were transported to a secure environment where they are reported to be in good health. The Official Environmental Agents celebrated their successful rescue, posting updates online to assure the public that the animals were safe and well.
