It positions the airport as one of the most dynamic in the country.

The growth has been primarily driven by international travel, which accounted for one million five hundred ten thousand eight hundred five passengers, reflecting a ten point seven percent increase from April twenty twenty-four. In contrast, national traffic experienced a slight decline, with two hundred twenty thousand one hundred one travellers recorded, a drop of one point six percent year on year. The United Kingdom leads the international arrivals with five hundred eighty-six thousand eight hundred fifty-three passengers.

In addition, the airport also recorded a high number of flight operations, with a total of ten thousand eight hundred ninety flights managed during April, an increase of seven point eight percent compared to the previous year. This surge indicates enhanced air connectivity and a sustained recovery in international air traffic following the impact of the pandemic.

For the first quarter of twenty twenty-five, the airport welcomed a total of five million four hundred thirty-two thousand one hundred sixty-five passengers, marking a twelve point seven percent increase compared to the same period in twenty twenty-four.
