The Civil Guard has arrested three men from a family clan in Orihuela on suspicion of carrying out several break-ins at a decorative lighting company in the Vega Baja. Local police in Orihuela, Almoradí and Albatera assisted in the operation. Investigators say the suspects used a hole cut into the rear perimeter fence to enter the premises and steal lighting materials and six rolls of copper cable.

The investigation began on 6 October after two similar burglaries were reported at the same company. Due to the seriousness and repeated nature of the crimes, the case was taken on by the Roca Team of the Torrevieja Civil Guard, supported by officers from Dolores and the local police forces.

After identifying a vehicle seen at the scene, officers were able to confirm the identities of three men with numerous previous convictions. A coordinated surveillance operation was launched, involving the Civil Guard and Orihuela’s UPAP unit.

The suspects were detained in November while travelling through Orihuela. Officers recovered tools, a simulated handgun, and other items, along with three copper cable rolls previously sold to a scrapyard. The men were brought before a duty court in Orihuela and released on precautionary measures. The Civil Guard says the case remains open.
