Parts of Alicante province have recorded intense rainfall, with Orihuela seeing 49 l/m2 in just four hours, according to the Valencian Meteorology Association. Crevillent registered 30.2 l/m2 over the same period, while Almoradí reached 25.4 and Pilar de la Horadada reported 21.6. Lower but notable totals were recorded in Xodos, Llucena, Eslida, Atzeneta d’Albaida, Alboraia, València and Puçol.

The heavy rain has triggered some localised incidents. Alicante’s provincial fire service responded to two pump-outs in Orihuela and Daya Nueva to deal with accumulated water. Firefighters also extinguished a palm tree fire in Callosa Segura, which was caused by a lightning strike during the storms.

Meanwhile, fire services in both Valencia and Castellón have reported no significant issues linked to Storm Emilia. Despite the high rainfall figures in some areas, emergency crews say the wider impact of the storm has been limited, with no major damage or injuries reported.
