Air quality across the Region of Murcia has remained poor, with most monitoring stations reporting particle levels above permitted limits. Only the Valle de Escombreras, which has recorded moderate conditions, and Caravaca de la Cruz, which is showing good air quality, fall outside the unfavourable category.

The highest readings have been recorded in Murcia city. The San Basilio station has reported 68.47 micrograms per cubic metre of PM10, where the limit is 50, and 44.09 micrograms per cubic metre of PM2.5, which has a legal threshold of 25. Similar figures have been logged at the Ronda Sur station. Elevated levels have also been reported in Alcantarilla, Molina de Segura and Lorca.

Other towns are experiencing issues with at least one type of particulate matter exceeding limits. Jumilla has surpassed the maximum for PM10, while Alumbres, La Aljorra and Mompean have exceeded limits for PM2.5.

According to the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, a mass of African air is currently affecting the Iberian Peninsula, bringing surface dust with concentrations estimated between 10 and 25 micrograms per cubic metre.
