Torrevieja has announced a wide-ranging Christmas programme for the 2025 festive season, with more than 40 activities planned across the town and in La Mata. Councillor for Fiestas, Commerce, Hospitality and Tourism, Rosario Martínez Chazarra, said the programme has been designed for all audiences and aims to support local businesses while boosting tourism outside the peak months.

The events begin on 11 December with the decoration of shopfronts and the distribution of poinsettias to local businesses. The council will also hand out 30,000 personalised recycled shopping bags to encourage residents to buy locally. More than twenty local shops are taking part in the 22nd Christmas Window Display Competition.

The programme includes educational, cultural and sporting events, along with major festive attractions. Highlights include the Tardeo Navideño on 20 December and a drone light show on 21 December along the Juan Aparicio promenade. Families can visit Father Christmas’s cottage on 23 and 24 December in both Torrevieja and La Mata, while the Santa parade will take place on 23 December.

A synthetic ice rink will open on 26 December in Plaza Encarnación Puchol, offering free access until 1 January. Other events include the Oh! Marlene concert on 27 December, children’s and night-time San Silvestre races on 30 December, and family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebrations on 31 December. The Real Camp will take place on 3 and 4 January, before the festivities conclude with the Three Kings parade on 5 January.
