The Junta de Gobierno Local of Almoradí has approved the tender for Phase Three of the remodelling of the municipal sports area, allocating €1,355,403.69 to complete the scheme. This final stage completes a broad renewal that, together with works at the Venancio Costa Pavilion and the former Conservatory, brings total investment close to €6 million.

The project will transform the courts, reorganise the surroundings and raise the external car park to the same level as the facilities, removing the current slope to improve accessibility. Existing fencing will be replaced by a transparent enclosure to integrate the site visually with the town, and a previously unused lateral plot will be urbanised to create green space, a perimeter promenade and a new outdoor auditorium.

Officials say the works will deliver wider courts, a climate-controlled pavilion, a multipurpose building for youth and sport, and modern public spaces in a key commercial and industrial axis towards Dolores. Mayor María Gómez has said the tender approval marks a decisive step towards a more attractive, accessible and energy-efficient sports hub that will become a centre of community life and a reference for the Vega Baja.
