The Consell has passed a decree to create the Number Fifteen School of Early Childhood and Primary Education in Torrevieja. This move responds to the increasing need for school places in the area. The new school, located on Avenida de los Nenúfares, will consist of twenty-seven units, including nine for Early Childhood Education and eighteen for Primary Education, accommodating a total of six hundred seventy-five students.

The establishment of the Number Fifteen School involves an investment of two million seven hundred sixteen thousand five hundred seventy-four euros from two thousand twenty-four to two thousand twenty-five, covering personnel and operational costs. With the continued rise in school enrolment in Torrevieja, the creation of this school follows the establishment of another primary school, Number Fourteen, in the past two years.

The Generalitat is committed to addressing educational infrastructure needs in Torrevieja with a planned investment of nineteen million three hundred thousand euros. This funding will support the construction of the two new schools currently operating in prefabricated classrooms, as well as the new IES Eras de la Sal, which is a transformation of the existing IES Torrevigía, and will also cover the comprehensive renovation of IES Las Lagunas.
