On the eighteenth of May, the National Police successfully dismantled a family clan in Elche, Alicante, arresting four suspects, three men and one woman. The arrests were made in connection with drug trafficking, membership of a criminal group, and electricity fraud. The operation began following numerous complaints from local residents about a continuous flow of individuals coming and going from a property in the neighbourhood of Puñalada, which was operational around the clock.

During the investigation, police identified the home as a drug distribution point run by the family clan, who had assigned specific roles in their operations. While some members were involved in selling the narcotics, others were tasked with surveillance. Additionally, law enforcement uncovered a property and home used as a warehouse for storing drugs and replenishing supplies for the selling location.

In the operational phase, police executed three searches, confiscating three hundred and fifty grams of cocaine hidden in a concrete mixer, ten grams of marijuana, a large knife, a high-end vehicle, and tools intended for drug sales. Authorities found an illegal marijuana plantation comprising one hundred and fifty-eight plants, which was unlawfully connected to the electrical supply.

As a result of the raids, the suspects aged between thirty-five and sixty years were detained for their involvement in drug trafficking, criminal association, and electricity fraud. The main suspect has been presented to the duty court in Elche, where a decision has been made for their imprisonment.
