Two individuals have been arrested by the Guardia Civil in Callosa de Segura in connection with a series of violent crimes across the Vega Baja region. The suspects, aged thirty-eight and thirty-two, face charges including violent robbery, illegal detention, and breaking a restraining order. Following a judicial hearing, both have been placed in provisional custody.

The investigation was initiated in early March, prompted by multiple violent incidents reported in several towns, including Callosa de Segura, Granja de Rocamora, and Torrevieja. Investigators from local Guardia Civil units began parallel operations, uncovering a pattern of crimes linked to the same suspects.

Among the incidents was the forced detention of an elderly man in his home, where he was threatened with a knife and robbed of valuables worth three thousand euros. In another case in Granja de Rocamora, a seventy-year-old woman was pushed and robbed when the suspects entered her home under the pretext of needing money.

The combined efforts of the Guardia Civil units led to the identification of the suspects through evidence and victim descriptions. They were arrested during a joint operation with local police. The man was also found to have breached a restraining order, adding another charge to their crimes. They are now awaiting further judicial proceedings.
