International visits to Valencia region rise to 12.4 million in 2025

More than 12,422,000 international tourists visited the Valencian Community in 2025, nearly half a million more than in 2024, according to new figures released by regional tourism minister Marián Cano. Environmental group reports landfill damage near Torrevieja lagoon

Amigos de los Humedales del Sur de Alicante has reported the dumping and levelling of inert waste near the southern shore of Torrevieja lagoon to SEPRONA, the Guardia Civil’s nature protection unit.
