Local Police in Orihuela Costa have carried out two separate arrests following incidents reported in the area. Both interventions took place on Friday and resulted in two men being taken into custody.

In the first case, officers detained a thirty-year-old man in La Zenia on suspicion of stealing from vehicles parked on public roads. Police believe the suspect used frequency jamming devices to block car central locking systems, preventing vehicles from closing properly and allowing access to the interior to steal personal items.

The second incident occurred on Calle Escorpio, where officers responded to an emergency call from a shop. A fifty-three-year-old man was accused of threatening employees and customers with a bladed weapon. Police say the situation was quickly brought under control, with no injuries reported, and the suspect was arrested at the scene.

Local Police have said both actions form part of their ongoing work to maintain safety and public order in Orihuela Costa. They have also reminded residents and businesses to follow safety protocols to help prevent similar incidents.
