Torrevieja Town Council has opened the application period for those wishing to take part in the prize competition connected to the Grand Carnival Parade 2026, which will be held on Sunday 8 February.

The Councillor for Festivals, Rosario Martínez Chazarra, has confirmed that individuals and organisations can enter, including associations, carnival groups, clubs, schools, cultural collectives and other participating groups, as long as they meet the conditions set out in the official rules.

Applications must be submitted through the council’s electronic headquarters, using the form titled “Premios Concurso Gran Desfile de Carnaval 2026”. The deadline opened on 21 January and will remain open until 30 January, inclusive.

Winners will be selected by a jury appointed by municipal resolution. The results will be published on the noticeboard of the Torrevieja Town Council’s electronic headquarters and on the council’s official website. The councillor has encouraged local groups to take part, describing the Grand Carnival Parade as one of Torrevieja’s most important and popular annual events.
