Torrevieja Town Council has carried out a comprehensive programme of maintenance, cleaning and improvements at Reina de la Sal Park, located in the Los Balcones urbanisation. The work forms part of the council’s ongoing plan to keep public green spaces in good condition and safe for daily use by residents.

Over recent days, specialist teams have undertaken a full clean of the park, removing waste and plant debris, repairing paths and improving walking areas. Pruning and health checks have been carried out on trees and vegetation to encourage healthy growth, improve visibility and increase safety throughout the park.

The project has also included maintenance and upgrades to children’s play areas, sports spaces, courts and leisure zones, ensuring they remain suitable and safe for all users. Reina de la Sal Park covers around 35,000 square metres and is one of the largest and most frequently used green spaces in the municipality.

Parks and Gardens councillor Concha Sala has underlined the importance of the park, which is used by large numbers of people throughout the year, particularly during holiday periods. She has also highlighted the cultural significance of the park’s name and confirmed that the commemorative plaque listing Torrevieja’s Queens of Salt will be updated in the near future.
