The Guardia Civil has initially ruled out gender violence in the stabbing of a fifty-eight-year-old woman in Torrevieja on Sunday afternoon. The victim is currently in stable condition and may be discharged from the Hospital Universitario de Torrevieja shortly. Emergency responders assessed her injuries as serious due to stab wounds.

The incident occurred between five thirty and six o’clock in the evening, as confirmed by the Centro de Información y Coordinación de Urgencias de la Generalitat, in conjunction with the Guardia Civil. A Basic Life Support ambulance transported the injured woman to the hospital.

Witnesses reported seeing a significant trail of blood leading from the ground floor of the building to the second floor of the Godisa XV building, located at number forty-eight on Calle Patricio Zammit. Many residents and holidaymakers in the area did not notice anything unusual until the emergency services arrived.

This marks the second knife attack in Torrevieja within a week. Just six days prior, during the Hogueras night on the beach, a minor reportedly attacked another with a knife at Los Náufragos beach.
