The State Meteorological Agency has activated yellow alerts for high temperatures across the Region of Murcia this coming Saturday, June twenty eighth. Areas like Vega del Segura will experience temperatures exceeding thirty-eight degrees Celsius. The warning will be in effect from one o’clock in the afternoon until eight fifty-nine in the evening, with a probability of heat exceeding forty to seventy percent.

This alert follows another issued on Wednesday regarding a heatwave that will last from Saturday through at least Tuesday, July first. The majority of the peninsula will endure elevated temperatures, particularly in the southern half, with the southwest quadrant being heavily impacted.

In the Region of Murcia, some areas could see temperatures reaching as high as forty degrees in Molina de Segura. The Agency advises people to stay hydrated, even without thirst, and to limit exposure to the sun during peak hours. It is also recommended to avoid alcoholic and sugary drinks and to engage in less physical activity during the heat.

For safety, individuals are urged to seek shade, wear caps, sunglasses, and light clothing when outdoors. Staying informed about the weather conditions is crucial to personal safety during this period of extreme heat.
