In Ciudad Quesada, a driver has been arrested after leading police on a high-speed chase lasting almost ten kilometres. The incident escalated when local officers received numerous reports from residents about speeding vehicles in the area. During their patrol, officers noticed a large vehicle accelerating rapidly, prompting witnesses to signal their concerns.

Once verified, police initiated a chase, putting themselves at risk to apprehend the speeding car. The driver ignored all police signals and drove recklessly, overtaking vehicles on both sides and violating traffic regulations. The pursuit continued into major roads, including the CV-905 and AP-7.

The chase came to an end due to the quick action of law enforcement in the neighbouring town of Guardamar del Segura, where a traffic blockade was established. This strategic teamwork allowed officers to immobilise the vehicle, leading to the driver’s arrest.

Following the incident, the car was confiscated and placed under judicial custody. Legal proceedings are now underway as authorities address the driver’s serious infractions against road safety and police authority.
