A woman has died in the Roda district of San Javier after being accidentally run over by her own vehicle while receiving roadside assistance. The incident happened on Friday afternoon in a residential area on Calle Carlos I, where the woman had asked for help after being unable to start her car.

According to witness accounts, a recovery operator arrived with a portable jump starter and entered the vehicle to try to start it. The car was in first gear, and when the engine started it moved forward unexpectedly. The woman was standing in front of the vehicle and was struck, becoming trapped between her car and the recovery truck.

Emergency services were alerted at 15:47. Local Police officers and medical teams attended the scene, but the woman had suffered a severe head injury and was in a critical condition. Despite efforts by paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

As the incident occurred within an urban area, the investigation has been taken over by San Javier Local Police. Officers are preparing a report to establish the full circumstances surrounding the accident.
