A complaint of sexual assault involving a minor has led to the dismantling of a criminal clan operating in San Pedro del Pinatar. Four people have been arrested by the Guardia Civil on suspicion of drug trafficking and belonging to an organised crime group. Two of the suspects are also accused of making threats, while one man additionally faces an allegation of sexually assaulting a girl under the age of sixteen.

The investigation began in October after a minor reported that she had been sexually assaulted and threatened by a family member at a property where she had been living. She also alleged that she was forced to sell drugs under threat in order to remain in the home. The girl has since been placed in a youth protection centre.

Officers carried out surveillance and identified the property as a street-level drug dealing point, with a second nearby home used to store substances. Following coordinated raids on both addresses, police seized forty-two doses of cocaine, more than eighteen hundred euros in cash, weighing and packaging equipment, written records linked to drug sales, and several bladed weapons.
