Federico Alarcón, secretary councillor of the Local Government Board, has announced that on Friday 28 November the council approved the justificatory report, technical file and administrative clauses for a new urban transport contract. The concession will run for ten years and is valued at €115,440,005 plus VAT. The period for submission of offers will last forty calendar days, setting a receipt horizon to 12 January 2026.

The new service will substantially increase capacity and staff. The fleet will double from sixteen to thirty‑two buses — twenty‑six hybrid and six electric — and the workforce will grow from forty‑one to more than one hundred. All vehicles will have driver assistance systems and real‑time passenger information via stops and a mobile app, supported by a System of Help for Operation. The network will include nine daytime lines and three night lines; daytime hours will run from 07:00 to 22:30 in low season and 07:00 to 24:00 in high season, while night lines will operate from midnight to 04:00 on Saturdays and daily in mid and high season.

Fares include a Bono Oro for eligible residents giving unlimited free travel, a thirty‑day unlimited Bono Thirty priced at €44, multi‑ride cards and tourist passes of three days for €10 and seven days for €18; a single ticket will cost €1.50. The contract also covers construction of an operational base on a 7,550 m2 municipal plot in Enclave 13 at Juan Valera and Avenida Rosa Mazón Valero, including cocheras, workshops and control offices, and charging infrastructure for twelve electric buses, valued at €3,157,684.63 plus VAT for the base and €963,243.91 plus VAT for the chargers.
