Electra has opened the largest ultra‑rapid charging station in the municipality of Cartagena, beside the Parque Mediterráneo retail park in the Cabezo Beaza industrial estate. It is the firm’s first station in the Region and comprises sixteen charging points designed to serve long‑distance and local drivers.
Eight of the points provide ultra‑rapid charging of up to 400 kW and the other eight offer up to 50 kW. Electra estimates the site can recharge up to 400 cars a day and will cut roughly 480 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, positioning the hub as a local node for sustainable mobility and technological innovation.
The opening followed an investment of more than €1,500,000 and was attended by councillors Diego Salinas, Álvaro Valdés and Belén Romero. Electra says the new station strengthens Cartagena’s charging network and supports the shift towards electrified transport.
