The town hall of Los Montesinos has signed the start-of-works record for the modernisation and improvement of services at the Levante 2 industrial estate. The project, financed by the Generalitat Valenciana through IVACE and awarded to Infraestructuras y Servicios Comino at a reduced bid of €210,000 (excluding VAT) against an initial budget of €234,388, will run across 2025 and 2026 and includes upgrades to the potable water network, lighting for a section of the cycle lane and a stormwater inlet.

Levante covers just over 70,000 square metres, of which 7,200 square metres are earmarked for green areas, many still undeveloped. The estate includes a hotel and around 1,400 square metres of tertiary space and serves the nearby conurbation of Guardamar–Torrevieja–Orihuela Costa. Councillors acknowledge the current investment will not complete all re‑urbanisation needs and note a previous IVACE grant in 2022 of about €140,000 helped install some videovigilance points.

Mayor José Manuel Butrón has said the modernisation is essential for local firms to continue growing under better conditions. Councillor Ana Belén Juárez has emphasised the council’s commitment to attracting opportunities and generating employment, and the town hall has affirmed it will keep working to improve public and business infrastructure.
