A sixteen-year-old has been arrested by the Guardia Civil after allegedly stabbing another young man in the face at Los Náufragos beach in Torrevieja during the San Juan festivities. The incident occurred shortly after midnight, prompting a swift response from local authorities. Reports indicate that the victim left the scene to seek treatment at the Hospital of Torrevieja independently.

Local police commenced an immediate search for the assailant, utilising social media footage to identify him as a minor who had previously been involved in an incident during the Feria de Sevillanas in May. The Guardia Civil managed to locate the youth at his home and subsequently took him into custody.

Despite the gravity of this event, thousands of people celebrated at the beach with a substantial safety presence, including over fifty staff members from local police, Guardia Civil, and volunteers from Civil Protection. Other than this stabbing, only minor incidents, primarily relating to alcohol intoxication, were reported across the coastline.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the altercation while ensuring the safety of beachgoers during this festive season.
