The Local Police of Catral have taken action following an incident involving the unauthorized use of a vehicle parked on the public road. Authorities identified the suspects who accessed the vehicle while cleaning operatives conducted their duties at the weekly market. With the keys left inside, the duo drove the vehicle approximately one kilometre before abandoning it.

The incident prompted immediate action from the Local Police, who set up a search operation involving multiple patrols and the town’s surveillance system. According to investigations, the suspects abandoned the vehicle after spotting a police patrol that was blocking one of the exits of Catral.

Officers have initiated proceedings for the suspected crime of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. These findings have now been reported to the judicial authority for further action. The police continue to emphasise the importance of vehicle security, especially during busy events like the weekly market.
