Valencia firefighters handle 1,110 wind incidents in less than two months

The Valencia Provincial Firefighters’ Consortium has carried out 1,110 wind-related interventions in less than two months, almost three times its usual annual average of around 400 services. The surge follows a succession of powerful storms affecting the province since January. A Maritime Rescue vessel has rescued fifteen male migrants from a small boat around 5km off the coast of Arenales del Sol, in the municipality of Elche. Murcia expands storm tank capacity to protect Mar Menor

The Regional Government of Murcia has expanded its network of environmental storm tanks to help protect the Mar Menor from flooding and pollution.
