Orihuela Costa footbridge project reduced in width by one metre

The planned pedestrian and cycle bridge over the AP-7 in Orihuela Costa has been reduced in width by one metre, from the 4.3 metres set out in the original tender to just three metres. Storm Regina brings heavy rain and sewage overflow in Torrevieja

Storm Regina has delivered up to 30 litres per square metre across the Vega Baja, with the heaviest rainfall recorded along the coast. Around 350 emergency personnel have taken part in the largest earthquake and tsunami drill ever staged in Torrevieja. Delivery driver arrested in Elche over alleged €7,000 mobile phone theft

A 38-year-old delivery driver has been arrested in Elche, Alicante province, on suspicion of stealing high-end mobile phones worth almost 7,000 euros. Yellow weather warning for heavy rain across most of Valencia region

Spain’s State Meteorological Agency, Aemet, has activated a yellow weather warning for heavy rain across almost the whole of the Valencia region on Thursday 5 March. Cartagena seeks approval for seasonal floating docks until 2030

Cartagena City Council has formally requested permission from Spain’s coastal authority to install five floating docks on the Mar Menor during the busier months of the year until 2030.
