Two hikers have been rescued after becoming exhausted and dehydrated at the bottom of a ravine in the Fausilla area of Cartagena.
Emergency services said the incident happened on Monday afternoon in a part of the ravine described as very difficult to access. The pair were unable to make their way out and required assistance.
Firefighters were deployed to the scene and managed to reach the hikers before bringing them to safety. Authorities have not reported any serious injuries, but the hikers were said to be suffering from fatigue and dehydration following the ordeal.
