The Guardia Civil has referred its findings to the judicial authorities after a teacher at IES Luis Manzanares in Torre Pacheco, Murcia, was allegedly assaulted by a minor pupil.
The incident happened during a physical education class on Friday, while students were carrying out a series of exercises. After the teacher filed a formal complaint, officers opened an investigation and have now submitted the case to the courts, according to sources.
The Region of Murcia’s Education Department has launched an information file to clarify what happened. Educational Inspection has also activated the appropriate protocol.
While both the internal and judicial investigations remain under way, the school’s management and the education authorities have applied provisional measures in relation to the pupil involved.
