San Miguel de Salinas police have issued an €800 fine after identifying the person responsible for dumping rubbish illegally beside public bins in the municipality.

The town council said municipal services were called out as soon as the incident was reported, with cleaning teams restoring the area within a few hours. Local officers later tracked down the person responsible, and the fine was issued under current environmental regulations.

Officials described the dumping as a clear case of environmental vandalism, warning that it seriously damages both the environment and community life. The council has reminded residents that keeping public spaces clean is a shared responsibility.

While this case was resolved quickly, similar problems continue across parts of the Costa Blanca, particularly in busy coastal areas. Authorities say bulky waste should only be left out following prior arrangement with the council, and they have insisted that further fines will be issued wherever offenders can be identified.
