A 61-year-old motorcyclist has died after a collision with a car in Cartagena.
The crash happened at around 1.56pm on Thursday on Sebastián Feringán Street, close to the Perpetuo Socorro hospital, according to the Murcia Region’s Emergency Coordination Centre. The impact threw the rider several metres from his motorcycle.
A doctor and nurse from the nearby hospital were first to assist the victim, followed by a 061 emergency medical unit. Despite their efforts, paramedics were unable to resuscitate him.
A patrol from Cartagena’s Local Police also attended the scene. An investigation into the circumstances of the collision is under way.
