San Isidoro secondary school in Los Dolores, Cartagena, has been awarded second prize in the National School Coexistence and Wellbeing Awards, organised by the Ministry of Education. The award carries a grant of 7,500 euros.
The recognition comes for the school’s ABE emotional wellbeing project, which focuses on improving pupils’ mental health and promoting positive relationships across the school community. Through this initiative, staff have worked to strengthen coexistence, prevent bullying and encourage responsible use of social media.
San Isidoro is the only secondary school in the region to receive this national distinction. Representatives from the school will collect the award on 18 May at the Ateneo Cultural in Madrid.
