Torrevieja is set to take a significant step in its economic development with the construction of a major new BAUHAUS store in the La Hoya industrial estate. The official foundation stone ceremony will take place on Thursday 16 April at 12:45pm.
The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the CEO of BAUHAUS Spain, Bart Ginneberge, are due to attend the event, marking the formal start of one of the town’s most important commercial projects in recent years.
The new outlet will be the company’s third store in the Valencian Community, reinforcing its expansion strategy in Spain. BAUHAUS is one of Europe’s leading brands in DIY, construction, gardening and home design, known for its large-format specialist stores and wide range of professional products.
The development is expected to generate more than 250 direct and indirect jobs, providing a boost to the local economy and service sector. Company representatives are also expected to outline construction timelines, sustainability measures and how the centre will integrate into the surrounding urban area.
