Pavasal has emerged as the leading bidder to carry out the reurbanisation of Los Locos Beach in Torrevieja, after the opening of financial offers by the municipal contracting committee. Eleven companies submitted bids for the project.

The company offered €8,592,352, representing a 14.65% reduction on the original tender price. The committee is expected to propose Pavasal as the provisional contractor in the coming days, before requesting the final documentation required to award and sign the contract.

The scheme will pedestrianise more than 1,100 metres of coastline, linking Avenida de la Purísima and Calle La Sal with Avenida Roentgen and connecting the area to the Punta Margalla promenade. Plans include wider pedestrian areas, improved beach access, new green spaces, tree planting, children’s play areas, outdoor fitness zones and upgraded street furniture.

The total intervention will cover 21,044.75 square metres, with the aim of strengthening the connection between the city and the seafront while adapting the area to modern accessibility and urban design standards.
