Almoradí Town Council has delivered a new round of road safety workshops across all primary schools in the municipality. The programme was coordinated by the Department of Education in partnership with the national organisation STOP Accidentes.

The initiative forms part of the council’s ongoing commitment to prevention and civic education. Education Councillor Susana Miralles said the aim is to encourage safe, responsible and sustainable mobility habits among schoolchildren, helping them to interact with the urban environment in a conscious and healthy way.

The workshops were led by Víctor Llamas, a psychologist with STOP Accidentes in the Valencian Community. Sessions focused on real-life risk situations, pedestrian and passenger safety, sustainable travel such as walking or cycling, and mutual respect among all road users. Pupils were also taught how to identify potential dangers in their school surroundings.

STOP Accidentes is a national organisation that supports victims of traffic incidents and promotes road safety awareness. The council has praised the strong engagement from both teachers and pupils, describing the collaboration as an effective way to deliver clear and practical safety messages to young people.
