Almoradà has officially opened a new dog park in Plaza de la Amistad, responding to increasing demand from pet owners across the municipality. It is the third dedicated dog park in the town, where more than 2,000 dogs are currently registered.
The project represents an investment of €36,212.40 and covers 875 m². The space has been divided into two separate areas and includes agility features such as a ring, slalom course, palisade and high jump, as well as a water fountain for dogs.
Work involved clearing existing flowerbeds, preparing the ground and installing a compacted albero sand surface. The park also has accessible ramps, a two metre high perimeter fence and a double gate system to prevent animals from escaping. Waste bins, bag dispensers and clear signage have also been installed.
The facility will be open every day from 8am to 10pm, offering owners ample time to exercise their pets while minimising disruption to nearby residents.
