More than 500 children from 11 schools have filled the streets of Torrevieja for the seventh edition of the popular Carnaval de los Coles. The event, organised by the Asociación Carnaval de Torrevieja, has become a firm favourite in the city’s calendar and continues to grow each year.

The parade made its way along Ramón Gallud Street before ending at Paseo de Vista Alegre, transforming the town centre into a colourful stage of superheroes, princesses, magical animals and storybook characters. There were no judges or competitions, with the focus firmly on fun, music and imagination.

Carnival royalty Laura Alberca, Iván Quesada and Mía Sánchez accompanied the children throughout the route, dancing and celebrating alongside them. Families lined the streets, applauding and capturing the moment on camera in a warm and festive atmosphere.

A total of 1,800 traditional monas were distributed at the end of the parade, thanks to sponsorship from Arcadia Abogados. Participating schools included Alpe-Apanee, Niño Jesús, Cuba, Inmaculada, Acequión, Salvador Ruso, Habaneras, Ciudad del Mar, Virgen del Carmen, Nuestra Señora del Rosario and Parque de Bolas Bambini.
