Two British men aged 70 and 50 have been arrested in Alicante after National Police uncovered an illegal streaming platform believed to have generated around €190,000.

The Central Cybercrime Unit traced the operation to a private home, described as the nerve centre of the scheme. Officers seized 42 decoding devices, seven memory cards, a computer, two mobile phones and a tablet. Investigators said the equipment was used to provide paid access to television channels without authorisation.

The platform operated through usernames and passwords and offered content from Spain, Germany, France, Norway and Denmark. Police said it had 330 subscribers and that the suspects also supplied tutorials and decoders to help customers connect, suggesting a well-organised and technically sophisticated setup.

The two men are facing charges of crimes against intellectual property, offences relating to conditional access television services, and electricity fraud. The website has been blocked, and officers are continuing to investigate possible wider or international links.
