Torrevieja’s town hall has launched Sector Twenty-Five green space. The park spans seventy thousand square metres and will run nine hundred metres, making it among the largest green spaces in the municipality under the maintenance contract. With a budget of five point four million euros and a twelve-month timetable, Actúa Servicios Medioambiente Sociedad Limitada is delivering the project. Mayor Eduardo Dolón has announced it will be completed by Christmas two thousand and twenty-six.

Positioned north of Bella Vista, Vista Sal and Salinas Beach homes, the site sits by the N-332 and is bordered by avenues and streets. The design aims to create a semi-urban, accessible park with inclusive access, a southern entrance and three vehicular access points, linked by small service roads along Ginés Saura Sánchez and Rosa Díez González. A central boulevard and circular route will connect the zones.

Among the attractions are play areas, a zip line, a road-safety education park, calisthenics and fitness zones, and sports facilities including a three-on-three basketball court and a small futsal pitch. There will be a picnic area, a dog-walking zone with an agility circuit, a resting kiosk and self-cleaning toilets—the first of this kind in a Torrevieja park. The project emphasises modern, sustainable urban equipment with LED lighting and recycled furnishings.

More than twenty-three thousand shrubs and seven hundred trees, plus ninety-five palms, form landscaping core. Plant species include olives, Holm oaks, carob trees, lentiscs, cypresses, pines and grevilleas, with aromatics such as lavender, rosemary, sage and thyme to boost biodiversity. The scheme also features water-saving irrigation and telemanagement, prioritising Mediterranean and xerophytic species. Officials say the project will generate social, health, environmental and economic benefits and raise the area’s appeal.
