A Georgian crime gang has been dismantled by the National Police, specialising in home burglaries, based in Torrevieja and travelling across the Alicante and Murcia regions. Five members, aged between twenty-nine and fifty-five, have been arrested and a large quantity of stolen items recovered. Police say the group is linked to at least twenty-six burglaries in Elche and Cartagena, and operated with a high degree of professional expertise.

Investigators say the organisation worked with clearly defined roles. An organiser selected targets and placed a transparent glue thread on door frames to detect whether residents were at home. Other members returned to the marked properties to break in using techniques such as bumping, a magic key, and impressioning to manipulate the locks without damage or noise.

Surveillance by the National Police’s Judicial Police, with the support of Citizen Security units, led to the arrest of four members in Cartagena during the early hours of October twenty-six. Later searches at properties in Pilar de la Horadada, Torrevieja and Orihuela Costa recovered numerous valuables—watches, jewellery, mobile phones, cash—and specialised tools, plus three vehicles used by the gang. The five suspects have been charged with at least twenty-six burglaries and have been remanded in provisional custody by the court.
