The National Police have arrested two minors in Cartagena, Murcia, for committing three violent robberies against elderly women. These incidents occurred in October on the Vía Verde of Barrio Peral and in the Barrio de los Dolores, where the victims were targeted while strolling in the area. The assailants, riding a scooter at high speed, focused on elderly women due to their vulnerability.

In these shocking assaults, one of the minors would prepare to flee on the scooter while the other forcefully snatched the handbag from the victims. This method not only led to the theft of personal belongings but also resulted in various injuries to the elderly women, who were dragged along during the robberies.

Following the series of attacks, the National Police began an investigation with the assistance of the Local Police of Cartagena. Through extensive inquiries and efforts, officers were able to identify the scooter used in the robberies, linking it directly to the events.

Ultimately, the two minors involved were fully identified and arrested. They have been charged with three counts of robbery with violence and have been placed at the disposal of the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office in Murcia.
