Cartagena has dedicated significant effort this year to creating a diverse programme of activities in honour of Children’s Rights Day. Organised by the Social Services area of the local council, the activities include workshops, games, storytelling sessions, discussions, roundtables, as well as sports and creative events, running until the twenty-sixth of November.

The central event will take place on the twentieth of November, bringing together one thousand five hundred boys and girls from twenty-three educational institutions. At nine thirty in the morning, participants will be welcomed at the Town Hall Square with music and entertainment, where the Children’s Manifesto for Rights will be read by the Municipal Council for Childhood and Adolescence.

In addition to the twenty-three educational centres, the celebration will see the involvement of eleven municipal services and thirty social entities, along with the participation of two thousand five hundred children. Various sports associations, including the Rhythmic Gymnastics project and the UrbanCT Parkour group, will also take part.

Voluntary students from the IES Mediterráneo and CEIP Beethoven will sign the manifesto reading to ensure the act is inclusive. This initiative has received support from Unicef Cartagena, aiming to raise awareness and celebrate children’s rights within the community.
