A seventy-year-old driver tragically lost his life on Wednesday night following a serious accident at one of the roundabouts leading to the Region of Murcia airport. The incident occurred when the driver veered off the road and collided with a tree.
Emergency services received a call around ten o’clock in the evening, reporting that the driver was unconscious and in cardiac arrest on the roadway in the Valladolises area. Local police and ambulances from the emergency management service quickly arrived at the scene.
Despite the immediate response from medical personnel, the driver could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the location of the accident. The incident has raised concerns regarding safety around the busy airport access roads.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, aiming to determine the factors that led to this tragic event.
